Service crash via unbounded host_ip formatting
Published Jul 31, 2025 · Updated Jul 31, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DI-8200 firmware 16.07.26A1 allows remote authenticated users to crash its web service. The ipsec_road_asp function formats the host_ip value through an unbounded %s conversion into a short stack array, overwriting adjacent memory. Access requires authenticated reachability from an adjacent network; an oversized host_ip value interrupts the management web service.
