Reflected XSS via unencoded search input
Published May 24, 2025 · Updated May 28, 2025
Reflected XSS in Tmall Demo 20250505 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted search link. The foreground search box returns attacker-controlled input without filtering or HTML entity encoding, causing the browser to interpret it as script. Exploitation requires a user to follow the crafted link, after which the script runs in that user's browser context and permits access to session data or alteration of displayed content.
