Published May 27, 2025 · Updated May 27, 2025
Privilege escalation in ThemeGlow Property 1.0.5 through 1.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to gain Administrator access. The PayPal registration handler trusts property_package_user_role metadata from an attacker-created package post without checking the user's capability before assigning the requested role. Author-level access and package-post creation are required, after which the affected account receives full WordPress administrative privileges.
