Administrator command execution via unsanitized bridge span
Published Aug 27, 2025 · Updated Sep 12, 2025
OS command injection in OPNsense before 25.1.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through the bridge editor. interfaces_bridge_edit.php concatenates the span POST parameter into a system command without neutralizing shell operators. Administrator access to the management interface is required, and successful injection executes with web-service privileges, typically root.
