Sensitive file disclosure via template path traversal
Published Aug 26, 2025 · Updated Sep 4, 2025
Path traversal in AbanteCart 1.4.2 allows remote attackers to read sensitive server files through the template parameter to index.php. The page-builder getControllerOutput route accepts ../ sequences in the template value and resolves them outside the intended template directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and readable files include operating-system and application configuration data available to the web service account.
