Decoder crash via null pointer arithmetic

A NULL pointer dereference in OpenJPEG 2.5.0 allows context-dependent attackers to crash the decoder via a crafted JPEG 2000 image. The opj_dwt_decode_tile function in src/lib/openjp2/dwt.c performs zero-offset pointer arithmetic on a null pointer during tile wavelet decoding. An application must process the crafted image through the affected decoding path; successful triggering interrupts decoding and any dependent service.
