Stored XSS via unescaped Swipebox title attributes

Published Jun 27, 2025 · Updated Jun 27, 2025

Stored XSS in dFactory Responsive Lightbox & Gallery before 2.5.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via post content. Swipebox reads an anchor's untrusted title attribute and inserts it into the rendered overlay without validation or output escaping. Contributor access is required to store the payload, and another user must click the crafted link; the script then runs in that user's browser context.
