Contributor-level stored XSS via unsafe gallery attributes

Stored DOM XSS in eight WordPress plugins and themes allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through crafted gallery attributes. The bundled lightGallery 2.8.3 and earlier code processes user-supplied gallery attributes without sufficient sanitization or output escaping, so persistent markup reaches the browser DOM. Contributor-level access is required to store a payload, which executes in the context of any account that opens the affected page and can read or modify page-accessible data.
