Unauthenticated file read via unnormalized request path
Published Aug 20, 2025 · Updated Aug 21, 2025
Authentication bypass in JeeWMS commit 771e4f5d0c01ffdeae1671be4cf102b73a3fe644 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files. AuthInterceptor checks the undecoded request URI for excluded substrings, allowing a /wmsApiController.do/../ prefix to skip authentication before showPic uses an unvalidated path in a file-read operation. No authenticated application session or user interaction is required, and traversal in the path parameter exposes files readable by the application account.
