Cluster denial of service via unexpected switch messages
Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026
Improper input validation in Arista CloudVision eXchange on affected EOS 4.30.x through 4.34.x releases allows remote attackers to crash CVX agents. CVX agents fail to reject unexpected custom TCP messages from a connected switch, so the agents terminate and destabilize the cluster. Exploitation requires high-privilege control of a connected switch and an enabled CVX service; the reported impact is a cluster availability interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.30.0 <4.31.0
- Affected versionversion=4.31.0 <4.32.0
