Comparison-list modification via unverified cross-site requests
Published Jul 31, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in CS-Cart 4.18.3 allows remote attackers to add products to a user's comparison list via crafted HTTP requests. The index.php comparison-list action accepts a state-changing request without verifying that the authenticated user intentionally initiated it. A victim must have an active session and load attacker-controlled content; the resulting change is limited to that victim's comparison list.
