Stored XSS via unescaped debug settings output
Published Aug 31, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Marco Milesi Amministrazione Trasparente 9.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via admin settings. The debug view reads stored wpgov_at and atGroupConf option arrays and passes their values to print_r without HTML escaping, causing saved markup to render in the page. Administrator privileges are required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; opening the injected page executes the script.
