Command execution via unescaped username interpolation
Published Sep 2, 2025 · Updated Sep 2, 2025
Command injection in Wavlink WN535K3 20191010 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through a crafted request. The set_sys_adm function places the username field in an echo/chpasswd shell command and sends the unescaped string to system(). The published request includes a session cookie, but the disclosure does not establish whether authentication is required; injected separators run commands on the router.
