CVE-2025-50738Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Viewer IP disclosure via arbitrary markdown image URLs

Published Jul 29, 2025 · Updated Aug 22, 2025

Information disclosure in Memos 0.24.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain a viewer's IP address via a markdown image URL. The gomark image parser and Image.tsx renderer preserve an arbitrary destination as the image source, causing the viewer's browser to send a GET request to an attacker-controlled server. The attacker must publish a crafted memo and a user must view it; the resulting request exposes the viewer's IP address, User-Agent string, and request metadata for tracking.
