Service crash via unchecked CGI parameter copy
Published Aug 13, 2025 · Updated Aug 13, 2025
Buffer overflow in Netis WF2880 2.1.40207 allows remote attackers to crash cgitest.cgi via a crafted wl_advanced_set value. FUN_0046f984 obtains the attacker-controlled value from the CGI input table and copies it without adequately checking the destination size. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is an availability interruption without data disclosure or modification.
