Reflected XSS via script-context escape in player
Published Aug 5, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Reflected XSS in SeaCMS before 13.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser via vid. The player endpoint inserts the GET vid value into a script context, where a closing script tag and an image onerror handler escape the global sanitizer. Exploitation requires a logged-in victim to follow a crafted URL and permits access to page-visible data or browser actions within that victim's session.
