Student-record creation via unprotected GET endpoint
Published Jul 18, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in StudentManage 1.0 allows remote attackers to add student records through an administrator's browser. The addStudentController accepts a state-changing GET request at /StudentManage/admin/addStudent with attacker-supplied student fields and no anti-CSRF validation. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to click a crafted external link, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized creation of a student record.
