Router crash via unbounded page formatting
Published Jun 27, 2025 · Updated Jun 27, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC6 firmware 15.03.05.19 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash the router via an HTTP request. The fromNatStaticSetting function passes the untrusted page value to sprintf when formatting nat_static.asp?page=%s into fixed-size stack buffer s without checking its length. An unauthenticated request with a page value longer than 0x120 bytes overwrites the stack and triggers a segmentation fault, interrupting router service.
