Account session hijacking via fixed session identifier
Published Jul 28, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Session fixation in PHPGurukul Doctor Appointment Management System 1.0.0 allows remote attackers to hijack an authenticated account session. The /dams/doctor/change-password.php handler retains an attacker-chosen session identifier across victim authentication instead of rotating it. The victim must authenticate with the fixed identifier; the published proof of concept reports session reuse for account access and password changes.
