Account hijacking via persistent pre-login session IDs
Published Jul 28, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Session fixation in PHPGurukul Bank Locker Management System 1 allows remote attackers to hijack an account through a fixed session ID. The change-password.php flow accepts a predictable or captured pre-login session token and preserves that identifier when the victim authenticates. Victim login is required; reuse of the resulting authenticated session grants remote access to the account and permits actions such as changing its password.
