Unauthenticated memory corruption via oversized APPEND argument

Buffer overflow in the APPEND handler in Freefloat FTP Server 1.0 allows remote attackers to corrupt process memory via a crafted command. The handler copies an oversized APPEND argument without enforcing the destination buffer's bounds, allowing attacker-controlled data to overwrite adjacent memory. No authentication or user interaction is required; published assessments bound the consequence to confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact without confirming code execution.
