Account hijacking via persistent preset session ID
Published Jul 28, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Session fixation in PHPGurukul Blood Bank & Donor Management System 2.4 allows remote attackers to hijack user accounts after login. The user-panel session flow exposed through /bbdms/change-password.php keeps a preset or captured session identifier valid when the victim authenticates. Exploitation requires a victim to log in with the attacker-known identifier, after which the attacker can access the account and change its password.
