Unsafe deserialization in ModelScope ms-swift 2.6.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted .mdl file. ModelFileSystemCache.load_model_meta() passes hidden model metadata directly to pickle.load(), which instantiates attacker-controlled objects during cache loading. Execution occurs when a victim loads the tampered checkpoint for training and runs with that process's privileges while training continues normally.
