Code execution via unchecked DGN buffer read
Published Aug 15, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Autodesk AutoCAD products 2023 through 2026 allows attackers to execute code by importing a crafted DGN file. The DGN parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. A target must open, import, or link attacker-controlled content; exploitation can disclose process data, crash the application, or execute code with the current process's rights.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2023 <2023.1.8
- Affected versionversion=2024 <2024.1.8
