CVE-2025-5036

Code execution via use-after-free in RFA parsing

Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Use-after-free in Autodesk Revit 2023 through 2026 allows attackers to execute code by linking or importing a crafted RFA file. Autodesk identifies RFA parsing as the locus but has not published the freed object or the operation that later reuses it. A user must link or import the file; exploitation runs in the current process and also allows sensitive-data disclosure or a Revit crash.
