Authenticated file deletion via unfiltered path
Published Jun 23, 2025 · Updated Jun 24, 2025
Path traversal in PHPGurukul Pre-School Enrollment System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete files via a crafted profile image path. The update-teacher-pic.php handler concatenates the unfiltered currentprofilepic value into oldprofilepic and passes the resulting path to unlink. The demonstrated request requires access to the administrative backend and deletes files writable by the PHP process without disclosing their contents.
