Code execution via omitted Mark-of-the-Web propagation
Published Jul 22, 2026 · Updated Jul 22, 2026
Protection mechanism failure in Franco Corbelli ZPAQFRANZ 61.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted archives. When the extract command processes an archive carrying Mark-of-the-Web, it fails to copy the Zone.Identifier marking to extracted files. Exploitation requires a user to download the archive and execute a malicious extracted file, which runs with that user's privileges.
