Code execution via missing Mark-of-the-Web propagation
Published Jul 22, 2026 · Updated Jul 22, 2026
Protection-mechanism failure in OneCommander 3.96.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted archive. During archive extraction, OneCommander fails to copy the source archive's Mark-of-the-Web alternate data stream to extracted files. Exploitation requires a user to download the archive and run its malicious payload, which then executes with the current user's privileges.
