Unauthenticated outbound requests via password-recovery email domain
Published Aug 13, 2025 · Updated Aug 13, 2025
Server-side request forgery in Makeplane Plane 0.23.1 allows remote attackers to trigger outbound HTTP requests through password recovery. The /auth/magic-generate/ endpoint accepts an attacker-controlled domain in the email field and directs the server to contact it. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the published proof of concept demonstrates server-originated requests to an external host.
