Authenticated file disclosure via unsanitized template path
Published Aug 6, 2025 · Updated Aug 6, 2025
Path traversal in QCMS 6.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through the backend template editor. System/Controller/admin/templates.php edit_Action() appends the unvalidated Name query value to the template path and passes the result to file_get_contents(). Backend access is required, and successful traversal exposes any file readable by the PHP process, including configuration and source files.
