CVE-2025-5022

Wi-Fi password disclosure via SSID-based derivation

Published Jul 10, 2025 · Updated Sep 19, 2025

Weak password requirements in EcoGuideTAB PV-DR004J and PV-DR004JA all versions allow physically proximate attackers to derive the Wi-Fi password. The units expose an SSID from which the inter-unit Wi-Fi password can be calculated, making the network credential predictable from its identifier. Exposure is limited to roughly 10 meters while the product is awake; access also enables ECHONET Lite air-conditioner commands when that optional function is configured.
