Administrator command execution via unsanitized database name
Published Mar 2, 2026 · Updated Mar 2, 2026
OS command injection in Chamilo LMS before 1.11.30 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via the main_database parameter. The editinstance.php handler forwards the POST value to Virtual::addInstance, which passes the unsanitized database name into a shell-backed operation. An administrator account is required; injected commands run on the application server with the web process's OS permissions.
