Authenticated command execution via unsanitized database name
Published Mar 2, 2026 · Updated Mar 2, 2026
OS command injection in Chamilo LMS before 1.11.30 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through the VChamilo plugin. The manage.controller.php endpoint accepts the POST main_database value, and Virtual::addInstance passes it to the operating system shell without sufficient validation. An administrator account is required, and injected commands run on the application server with the privileges of the Chamilo process.
