Subscriber-level secret exposure via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Jun 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Hive Support 1.2.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read and alter AI chat settings. The hs_update_ai_chat_settings() and hive_lite_support_get_all_binbox() AJAX handlers process requests without capability checks, exposing the OpenAI API key and inspection data and permitting changes to prompts and chatbot behavior. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; reported consequences are limited to data disclosure and chatbot configuration changes, with no code execution or service interruption reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
