Remote code execution via heap buffer overflow
Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Windows RRAS allows remote attackers to execute code over a network after user interaction. Microsoft has not published the affected function, malformed message type, or incorrect memory operation beyond identifying heap-based buffer corruption. RRAS is disabled by default, and successful exploitation requires both an enabled reachable service and user interaction; code then executes in the service context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
