CVE-2025-50162Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via RRAS heap overflow

Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Windows Server RRAS allows remote authenticated users to execute code through network requests. Microsoft identifies the faulty operation only as a heap-based buffer overflow in RRAS and has not disclosed the affected parser or input field. Exploitation requires low-privileged authentication and user interaction; successful memory corruption permits code execution on the server.
