Stored script execution via unneutralized dynamic content
Published May 21, 2025 · Updated May 21, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Hexo Boot 4.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in visitors' browsers via dynamic posts. The Dynamic List editor accepts an object element carrying a data URL and renders the saved content without neutralizing executable markup on the administration page and public Dynamic section. Administrative access is required to store the payload, and execution requires an administrator or reader to load an affected page; the demonstrated consequence is browser-context data exposure.
