CVE-2025-50104Network attack vector

High-privilege partial service interruption

Published Jul 15, 2025 · Updated Jul 16, 2025

Resource consumption in affected MySQL Server releases allows remote authenticated users to cause a partial service interruption via DDL. Oracle identifies the locus only as Server DDL and has not published the faulty operation or input that consumes resources; CISA maps the issue to CWE-400. Exploitation requires high database privileges and network access over MySQL Protocol, and the reported consequence is reduced availability rather than a hang, crash, or data exposure.
