High-privilege partial service interruption
Published Jul 15, 2025 · Updated Jul 17, 2025
Resource consumption in Oracle MySQL Server affected releases allows remote authenticated users to partially interrupt the database service. Oracle identifies the locus as Server: Thread Pooling but has not disclosed the operation that mishandles attacker-controlled activity. Exploitation requires high database privileges, network access via a supported protocol, and high attack complexity; affected versions are 8.0.0 through 8.0.42, 8.4.0 through 8.4.5, and 9.0.0 through 9.3.0.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.0.0 <=8.0.42
- Affected versionversion=8.4.0 <=8.4.5
- Affected versionversion=9.0.0 <=9.3.0
