Local server hang or repeatable crash
Published Jul 15, 2025 · Updated Jul 16, 2025
Denial of service in MySQL Server 8.0.0 through 8.0.42, 8.4.0 through 8.4.5, and 9.0.0 through 9.3.0 allows local users to hang or crash it. The flaw is in InnoDB, but Oracle has not published the affected code path or the operation that mishandles attacker-controlled input. Exploitation requires high privileges and a local logon to the host; success causes a server hang or repeatable crash without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.0.0 <=8.0.42
