Stored XSS via unescaped page content
Published Jun 20, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in StellarWP WPComplete 2.9.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into WordPress pages. The affected page-content path stores contributor-supplied markup without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, causing browsers to interpret it as script. Contributor-level access is required, and the code runs when a user opens the injected page, within that user's WordPress browser context.
