Authenticated command execution via unsanitized POST parameter
Published May 20, 2025 · Updated May 21, 2025
Command injection in Linksys FGW3000-AH and FGW3000-HK 1.0.17.000000 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The sub_4153FC handler in /cgi-bin/sysconf.cgi passes the supplicant_rnd_id_en POST value into a command context without neutralizing shell metacharacters. The management interface must be reachable with valid credentials; the record does not establish privileges beyond command execution on the device.
