Authenticated script execution via improper input handling
Published Jun 17, 2025 · Updated May 12, 2026
Cross-site scripting in WPAdverts 2.2.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into WordPress pages. Public records conflict on whether the issue is DOM-based or stored and do not identify the affected input field or rendering function; they report only insufficient sanitization and output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and injected scripts execute when another user opens the affected page, enabling actions in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
