CVE-2025-4975

Shared-device power control via notification authorization bypass

Published May 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 8, 2025

Incorrect authorization in TP-Link Systems Inc. Tapo App before 3.10.513 allows local users to modify a shared device's power settings. On Android, tapping a low-battery notification for a shared device opens its power settings with full control instead of enforcing limited sharing permissions. The user must already have limited access to the device, and the bounded consequence is changing that device's power settings.
