CVE-2025-49729Network attack vector

Remote code execution via RRAS heap overflow

Published Jul 8, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Windows RRAS allows remote attackers to execute code via network traffic requiring user interaction. Microsoft has not disclosed the affected RRAS routine, input field, or the allocation and copy mismatch that causes the heap overwrite.
