Authenticated code execution via untrusted deserialization
Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 13, 2026
Untrusted deserialization in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016 and 2019 allows remote authenticated users to execute code over a network. Microsoft has not published the deserialization locus, serialized input format, or incorrect processing operation. Low-privileged SharePoint access is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code on the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
