Local code execution via writable library search path
Published Dec 1, 2025 · Updated Dec 1, 2025
Untrusted search path in affected AIX Zabbix Agent builds allows local users to execute code through a library placed in /home/cecuser. The AIX agent loader searches /home/cecuser for libraries without restricting that directory to trusted writers. A local account with write access can substitute code that runs in the agent's security context; the vendor has not named the library involved.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=6.0.0 <=6.0.36 changes=[{"at":"6.0.40","status":"unaffected"}]
- Affected versionversion=7.0.0 <=7.0.5 changes=[{"at":"7.0.6","status":"unaffected"}]
- Affected versionversion=7.2.0 <7.2.1 changes=[{"at":"7.2.6","status":"unaffected"}]
