CVE-2025-49599Public exploit

Firewall bypass via unauthorized Epuser configuration

Published Jun 6, 2025 · Updated Jun 9, 2025

Incorrect authorization in Huawei EchoLife ONT firmware allows adjacent authenticated users to disable its firewall controls. The Epuser role is incorrectly permitted to change ONT firewall settings, including rules that block SSH and Telnet TCP ports by default. Adjacent-network access and Epuser credentials are required; affected builds are EG8141A5 and EG8145V5 V5R019C00S100 and earlier, and EG8145V5-V2 V5R021C00S184 and earlier.
