CVE-2025-49587Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unwarned notification displayer HTML

Published Jun 13, 2025 · Updated Jun 13, 2025

Stored XSS in affected CryptPad XWiki Platform releases allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser. The notification displayer renders the template property of an XWiki.Notifications.Code.NotificationDisplayerClass object as raw HTML without requiring the rights warning that flags dangerous content. Exploitation requires a low-privileged user to create the object and an administrator to edit and save its document, after which attacker-controlled script runs with the administrator's browser privileges.
