Code execution via malicious file processing
Published Jul 8, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Illustrator 28.7.6 and 29.5.1 and earlier allows local users to execute code via a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser or the unchecked write operation that crosses its destination buffer boundary. A victim must open the crafted file, after which successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code in the current user's context on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
